Happiness graced the faces of many people yesterday during the ceremony of legendary Bongos Ikwue 75th birthday in his home, Otukpo yesterday. The celebration started at the Norcross Methodist Cathedral Otukpo Benue state.
During the occasion, Bongos Ikwue
accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and savior. This was a shock to many
as he used to mock Christians.
The birthday was concluded in a grand
reception at the famous Double K resort in GRA Otukpo with the attendance of
high classed guests from the all over the country including the Hon Minister of
Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe, former Deputy Governor, Chief Steven Lawani, Mr
Elias Oche, gospel music ministers like Chris Morgan and Owie Abutu.
Other Ministers include Pastor Abel Uloko, the resident Pastor of House on the Rock
Church Makurdi, Pastor Sunday Onoja, the resident Pastor of Dunamis
International Gospel Centre, Otukpo and most importantly, the paramount ruler
of the Idoma Kingdom, Ochi’doma, represented by Odejo Ka’pa being the father of
the day.
