Alhaji Tsav Faces Sack Over Partisanship and Falsehood

By Morgan Adikwu

Special Adviser to Benue State Governor on Media and ICT, Mr.Tahav Agerzua has asked the Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission in the State, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav to resign for compromising his office through partisanship and falsehood.

Mr. Agerzua gave the advice today while addressing newsmen on issues raised by Alhaji Tsav in a letter he wrote to Governor Samuel Ortom, entitled, “Whistle Blowing/Stagnation in Benue State,” which has been widely circulated in the media.

The Adviser noted that the content of the letter did not reflect whistle blowing in any form but is rather a reproduction of Alhaji Tsav’s previous campaign of calumny on the person and office of Governor Samuel Ortom based on his partisan and biased assessment predicated on deliberate fabrications, falsehood, and misinformation.

He stressed that having compromised his office on those grounds, the Public Complaints Commissioner should strip himself of the office and step fully into the partisan political arena to play the game.

The Special Adviser pointed out that Alhaji Tsav has not hidden his admiration for the immediate past Governor and disdain for Governor Ortom and his Administration.

Mr. Agerzua stated that the Public Complaints Commissioner did not find a single reason to complain throughout the eight years of the Suswam Administration and that he kept mute even when the Justice Kpojime Commission of Inquiry indicted 52 prominent players in that administration for embezzling N107 billion.

The Special Adviser explained that instead of abiding by the Public Complaints Act which empowers the Commissioner to investigate complaints and report findings to the appropriate authorities, Alhaji Tsav resorts to campaigns of calumny in the media against Governor Ortom and his office.

He emphasized that if the Public Complaints Commissioner cared to request information from Government on all rumours, allegations, or speculations, the present unfortunate scenario where he was led to arrive at conclusions that were completely at variance with the reality on ground would have been avoided.

Mr. Agerzua emphasized that in similar manner, all the other issues raised by Alhaji Tsav are mere lies and fabrications aimed at bringing the Governor and his administration to disrepute and urged the public to disregard them.
