The President United Baptist Conference Rev. Jeremiah Pogwan has commended Governor Samuel Ortom for ensuring adequate protection of lives and property in the state.
The President disclosed this today at the Old Banquet Hall of Benue People's House when he paid a working visit to Governor Ortom.
He said he was in the government house to brief the Governor on activities of the United Baptist Conference in the state. He reinterate the commitment of the church to supporting the Governor in Areas of education, health and social works.
The President promised to build more High Schools in the state to compliment the wonderful achievements of ORTOM in the area of education.
Rev. Pogwan revealed that the success of Ortom's administration spines from the day he dedicated the state to God saying "God does not turn has back on those who believe in Him". He charged the Governor to continue to walk in the path of God because those who did never failed.
The President invited Governor Samuel Ortom to the closing ceremony and prayer for the Governor, and the government of Benue state.
Responding, Governor Samuel Ortom asked God to answer all the good intentions of United Baptist Conference. The Governor also commended the Baptist Church's contribution to the development of humanity and Benue state in particular.
Ortom urged the church to take a step further in venturing into agriculture adding that, that will not only help the church but provide job opportunities for the teaming youths.
Governor Ortom admitted that the speedy progress he has made in less than two years is as a result of total submission to the will of God and promised to continue rendering his services to Benue with the fear of God and to ensure transparency in every thing.
Rev. Jeremiah Pogwan then prayed for the Governor and members of his cabinet.
