If there is anything to swift about, that should be the payment of workers' salaries especially in a state where the majority of its residents are civil servants. That is needless to say, they largely depend on what comes to them at the end of the month.
It becomes pathetic and apologetic altogether when these people neither get something at the month nor get it late and receive what's due them in arrears. Do you think this does not affect both the social, and economic growth of the state? It does in a great deal.
People in authority should be aware that the payment of workers' salaries is non negotiable. Hence, they should be ready at all times to attend to these people as at when due.
In a situation where workers are owed salaries for months, it's both appalling and disappointing.
