If Ortom had said that to Wike, the citizens would all come out in support of their Governor, demanding a retraction of the careless comment. Here petty politics and iyuhe amongst us has made some people to celebrate it.
Governor Wike is a mediocre whose leadership has brought terror, intimidation and deaths to the people of River state. Apart from the state being under the firm control of militants and dare devil cultists, several weapons are in the hands of these militia who terrorize and kill at will. The last National Assembly elections witnessed preposterous cases of violence and death. Just to ensure free elections alone, a battalion of military personnels was deployed to Rivers as though Nigeria is at war.
Isn't it more dangerous and unsafe living in Rivers state for fear of being kidnapped and killed or millions of Naira collected from family as ransom for ones release?
Isn't the militancy and cultism more advanced? The kind of weapons brandished by the wike militants are more dangerous than what is found here. On daily basis people are killed maimed and raped in the creeks. A lot of revenue is lost as a result of bunkering in the creeks while Wike keeps lying to himself that he is incharge.
While wike uses the militants for political campaigns and intimidation of political enemies, Ortom has refused to use youth in that manner.
Wike who claims to know everything had to copy and paste the amnesty put together by Ortom in Rivers state.
Wike needs to tender and unreserved apology for insulting the sensibilities of Benue people.
Wike is a man who is into self deception and should not be taken seriously.
