Senate Rejects Ibrahim Magu's Confirmation As EFCC Chairman Again (See Why)


The senate have again rejected the confirmation of the Acting Chairman of EFCC Ibrahim Magu. The majority voted against his confirmation and the senate therefore rejected it.

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC appeared today in the senate for his confirmation. The confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as the EFCC Chairman hit a deadlock the last time he appeared before the senate following a conflicting reports leveled against him.

Today, his confirmation by the National Assembly of Nigeria have attracted the attention of the international community who vowed to send representatives to observe the proceedings. The confirmation is ongoing right now and is live on NTA.

Ibrahim Magu has however accused the DSS of not being competent in discharging their duties. Ibrahim Magu says two conflicting reports were submitted in one day about him and that questions the integrity of the DSS as well. #confirmationHearing.
