Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom left for China yesterday to attend the first Nigeria-China Governors Business and Investment Forum taking place in Guangzhou.
Governor Ortom who is accompanied by his wife, Dr Eunice Ortom, is leading a state delegation which includes chairman of the State Economic Team and Education, Science and Technology Commissioner, Professor Dennis A. Ityavyar, his counterpart in the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Tersoo Kpelai, and the Chief Press Secretary, Mr Terver Akase.
While in China the Governor will also attend the 121st Canton Fair in Guangzhou.
The Business Forum will focus on agriculture and Agro-business, solid minerals exploration, SMEs development, transportation, housing and real estate as well as energy and other related matters.
The fair will provide opportunity to participants to among other things access investment funding, develop new markets for Nigerian products and services, procure machinery and explore partnership.
Governor Ortom is expected back on 22nd April, 2017.
