Change Must Begin With Nigerian Police

The Nigerian police force:Is suppose to be an institution of peace,of restoring order,of giving the masses the necessary and the required security of lives and properties and not an institution of exploitations,false pretence, etc.

To our gallant police men/women; who are truthful,who don't collect bribe, who fights with a jus course, I salute you!

Over the years,I wandered if truly the Nigerian police force is not corrupt?So many questions run through my mind without no answers, as most of the Nigerian police men and women I met exhibit a high level of corrupt activities, for example; in some States "Roger me!" has always been the language anytime I am in a transit approaching a check point. When will they change?

Is bail truly free? I hope it is not lips service.

In our villages, the Nigerian police men and women covering this areas show or exhibit a high level of exploitative activities, mostly to the motorcyclists. It has suddenly become a normal routine, the arrest of innocent citizens has become normal as people come to bail their loved ones with N3000 and above without asking questions.

Bail is suppose to be free, when an individual is innocent! But on most occasions these people makes it tough for those that cannot afford bail and for those that don't "roger".

Is high time we say no!!! For me, I have said no several times even though sometimes I am punished OR threatened for saying the truth.

For this selfish aim of theirs[some Nigerian police men] a lot of Nigerian citizens have resolved to not cooperating with them.

To the Nigerian police Men and Women fighting for a good course, kudos! But for the ones exploiting people, it citizenry and collecting bribe, shame on you. Imagine, if the monies collected were to be tax then Nigeria would have being booming economically.

We have waited for too long!
