Wife of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Eunice Erdoo Ortom, Ph.D is set to host 600 Benue youth drawn from each council ward in the 23 local Government areas to a two days summit.
According to a press statement signed by the Central Planning Committee Chairman, pastor Dave Ogbole, the event which is slated to hold in Makurdi from Wednesday 14th through Thursday 15th June, 2017 is titled :THE BENUE YOUTH ENTERPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT.
"The summit is an initiative of the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation ably anchored by our First Lady Chief Mrs. Eunice Ortom Ph.D."Ogbole noted.
The two day strategic engagement has the theme, “MADE IN BENUE IS POSSIBLE " and the event is expected to draw reputable resource persons from across Nigeria and Benue State.
The Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe is expected to be in attendance.
The summit is aimed among others to achieve the following objectives.
* To re-engineer the mindset of Benue Youth towards productivity and enterprise.
* To inculcate and promote values of patriotism and Nation Building among Benue Youths.
* To expose Benue Youths to culturally relevant and global standards of entrepreneurship knowledge and practices towards self reliance.
* To create a network of systems and institutions that will benefit the dreams and skills of the Benue Youth.
The event will take place at the Benue state enterprise development and innovation Centre opposite Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), Makurdi.
