Mrs Ortom Kicks off Training of BOA Prospective Loan Beneficiaries

The Wife of Benue state Governor Dr. Mrs Eunice Ortom yesterday declared open the training of BANK OF AGRICULTURE prospective loan beneficiaries.

Mrs. Ortom performed this function at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Makurdi.

She said the training has become necessary as the raining season is fast approaching and farmers need early tillage for optimal productivity. She reinterated the commitment of the Ortom's administration to invest heavily in agriculture in order to give Benue people a permanent sustainable platform.

Mrs Ortom commended Benue women for their hard work and dedication to the upliftment of the state challenged them to make good use of the loan assuring that the state government will continue to remove all hurdles surrounding various loan terms to enable farmers obtain them.

The wife of the Governor however warned the prospective beneficiaries not to divert the agriculture loans for their personal use.

She charged them to take the training serious so as to equip themselves with the latest technology that can enhance maximum output in their choosing areas of engagements. "The resource persons here are carefully selected to teach you how to manage risk in your various farms, please, take them serious". Mrs. Ortom pleaded.

In a good will message, the Makurdi Branch Manager of the Bank Of Agriculture,Mr Jeoffery Asema thanked the Wife of the Governor for her unwavering efforts to supporting farmers through her pet project, Eunice Spring of Life Foundation, ESLF.

He invited Benue people to take advantage of Bank Of Agriculture and invest in farming. He said their doors are widely open to all farmers who want to expand or start their farms.
