I'm not surprised in any way as regard the high level of insecurity that has become part of the culture of Benue people since the inception of this voodoo government.
As a trained garage boy who took shade in parked vehicles in the garage, ortom was exposed to several acts. His corrupts, criminal and clueless nature was built there. As a traveler, I've witnessed on several occasions how motor touts or motor boys behave, Fighting for passengers, stealing is also a habit in the garage, thuggery, etc as illiteracy is always the harbinger of garage activities.
Ortom on several occasions, time without numbers as both heaven and hell are aware, unveiled how thuggery and militia he is, citing his garage days.
In his desperate bid to clinch the number one seat of Benue as well as his evil plans to ransack Sankara, ortom through the instrumentality of Torkuma Ugba gave out the APC assembly nomination in Katsina-Ala to Mrs Queen Ghana who was hitherto known Queen Anayo, an Ibo trader in Adikpo. Gahna was also the Chief security officer of Ortom throughout his campaign period.
However, it is a well known fact that Ghana prior to his marriage with Ortom was declared wanted by the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thus having become the governor and with the intention of bringing Ghana out of his cage or cave life to be his personal security and spiritual consultant, ortom hurriedly initiated an amnesty program that was not duly managed and thus, granted amnesty or better still soft landing for his dear body guard and spiritual consultant.
Ghana also told ortom that almost 25 of his boys were arrested and sentenced by the Suwam administration thus, he want them released. Ortom under the guise of state pardon, went all over the 36 state of the federation including Abuja and released these guys and took them back to Benue state with a dinner at the 'peoples' house, Makurdi. Subsequent days were accompanied with thanks giving masses across the state and various night club with Ghana driving latest cars with assorted security in town. Don't forget that Ghana, aside spiritual consultant and private security was also in charge of Agricultural produce levy through out the state with ortom as his referrer
In his cabinet, Ortom secretly put in assassins as special advisors, commissioners, etc. It was not long until these things started manifesting with counter assassination among his kitchen cabinet. If you doubt me, ask late Denen Igbana or Late Tondo.
In the area of Fulani herdsmen, Ortom in an attempt to appear in the good book of Mr President, bought some lands in Benue and handed over to cow rearing Fulanis. He went ahead and ceded part of Agatu to Fulani herdsmen and nicknamed them 'indigenous Fulanis'. Ortom also instructed the state assembly to wave the anti grazing bill presented before it by MAFO and in turn embraced the open anti grazing bill presented before the assembly by Fulani herdsmen.
AFTERMATHS OF ORTOM CRIMES TO BENUE.
With the legalization of crime, thuggery in the state by Ortom, there emerged an organised and well structured kidnappers group , armed robbers group, and Fulani terrorists.
A catholic priest in the state lost his life in the hands of these kidnappers while some have paid millions as ransom to regain their freedom.
In Gboko, many business tycoons have lost their lives in the hands of assassins and in Katsina-Ala, the case of Elder Atoza is still fresh.
Adikpo-London, the headquarters of Kwande since the inception of this government is under the control of criminals who harassed people on daily basis without any attempted attempt by the security personnel's in town to resist them.
In the area of Fulani herdsmen invasion and penetration as well as the activities of unknown gun men, Benue can be adjourn side by side with Borno, Yobe, Delta, and Adamawa in the area of casualties, mental deterioration and economic damages.
It is now clear that over 65 percent of Benue people are homeless and now wandering about without a helper.
With all these facts, it is rather very naive and evil for any one especially in the image of ortom to tag Suswam with militia, especially Ghana. It is clear for the blind to see and the deaf to hear how ortom instituted crime in Benue State. Thus, we are where we are today by the actions and inactions of Mr governor.
