Ortomatic: Gov Ortom Moves to Improve Power Supply In Benue

The Benue State investment delegation to the Peoples Republic of China rounded off its trip today with a visit to the headquarters of the Nantian Electrical Power Systems Company LTD located in Futian District, Shenzhen.

The visit was part of Governor Samuel Ortom's initiative to improve power generation, transmission and distribution in the state.

Governor Ortom who led the team met with the Chairman and other top management staff of the company where deliberations were held to ensure that Nantian Electrical Power Systems Company begins operations in Benue State this year.

The Benue State Government is targeting 36 mega watts of electricity generation through the provision of gas turbine which the Chinese company has demonstrated the capacity to provide.

The move when completed, will enhance industrialisation in particular and generally boost economic activities in the state.

Also on the delegation were the Chairman of the state Economic Team, Professor Dennis A. Ityavyar Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Tersoo Kpelai and Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Mr Stephen Amase.
